But will the Sheriff just release them?
My apartment was burglarized. I found out about it when the Dade County (FL) Sheriff’s office called me at work and wanted me to provide a list of the guns I owned. When I declined, the deputy on the call informed me that they had what they thought were my guns and just wanted to know if the ones they had were all mine.
Turns out they wouldn’t release them to me until the burglar’s case was settled months later and not even then until I produced bills of sale proving they were my property and passed another background check.
So it ain’t always a simple as “gimme back my stuff.”
I do not tolerate infringement of rights.
