  1. And again, “migrants”. The word used to refer mostly to temporary farm workers who move with the seasons as planting and harvesting time comes around, though it could describe any temporary worker who doesn’t stay in one place for more than a few weeks or months.

    More recently, it’s become a euphemism for illegal immigrants, particularly those of Hispanic origin.

    But how can they be “migrants” if they settle in one place and don’t move?
