THE REPUBLICANS CAN STOP THIS [More]
If they don’t it’s because they don’t want to, meaning Oregon gun owners must look to the Republican feds, who don’t seem to want to, either.

THE REPUBLICANS CAN STOP THIS [More]
If they don’t it’s because they don’t want to, meaning Oregon gun owners must look to the Republican feds, who don’t seem to want to, either.
Republican inaction on pro-2A legislation is what cynical Oregon gun owners have come to expect; what the current Congress and Presidential Administration are doing – or not doing – is just a scaled-up version of what we see at the State level every biennium.
The irony is that Republicans at both levels rely on gun owners for their votes to get elected, and gun owners get repaid with apathy and inaction – and sometimes downright betrayal – on critical legislation and judicial confirmations.
If HB 3075 moves forward and passes into law in Oregon, I predict that within a generation, two at the most, Republican candidates will be unelectable outside a few very rural counties, and it will be their own party’s doing.
After all, when you rely on gun owner votes to be elected, how do you get elected when there are no more gun owners?
It would be a damn shame if THAT gets scaled up from Oregon to the federal level, but unless something in the national GOP changes….
