    That is what is known as a truism. Something that is (almost?) always true regardless of external factors. And it is true regardless of how you fill in the blank space. Simply put, the prohibitionist have been quite flexible about filling in the blank space since at least the 1960s.

    And that relates back to another truism.

    “Firearms have but two natural enemies: rust and politicians.”
