Banking on Disarmament

This bank wants to track suspect credit card sales of guns and ammo. Why can’t it? [More]

Because we haven’t gone full commie yet?

And this is telling:

Amalgamated was founded by union workers nearly 100 years ago and bills itself as the nation’s oldest socially responsible bank.

Why doesn’t that surprise me?

  1. Most FFLs can’t use the common credit card processors, we have to use a fairly small outfit because the processors won’t do business with gun stores. It won’t be long, and this is the plan, that you won’t be able to use Visa/MC to pay for firearms or ammo.

    1. I’ve become used to visiting gun shows with a stack of “Benjamins” anyway. The stuff I like to collect usually appears at the smaller “cash only” vendors. There’s usually an ATM machine available if I blow my budgeted stack. But the machines often empty out before the show closes so I must not be the only one.

If the MC/VISA folks don’t want my business, oh well!
