My question is, why I don’t see furious noise being made and credible primary alternatives being supported by their constituents?

    Indeedaroony, You’d think the self-assigned maga twitter chattering class who claim to have Trump’s ear because JD Vance follows some anonymous accounts would be raising hell.
    What’s that? They’re telling people not to rock the boat using the existence of “leftist demoralization ops” as an excuse? Inconceivable!

We’ve talked before about the “blue state migrating conservatives” who THINK they’re conservative because they’re comparing themselves with neighborhood AWFLs and greenhairs, but when they move to your state they continue to vote for “moderate” Democrats. Well, these “Republicans” are the sort of “Republicans” who can manage to get elected from areas like those. The Scott Browns and Mit Romneys who see nothing wrong with Obamacare, and are willing to see it and raise it with their own proposals. You don’t see them getting primaried because it’s a miracle they can get elected in the first place — anybody more principled simply wouldn’t be.
