Vichycons are like the Ruala who do not carry water.

Four Republicans joined all Democrats in supporting the petition, which allowed the bill to advance without support from the House Republican leadership. Six Republicans and one Independent then voted to move the bill forward in the House. [More]
We’ve talked about The Cabal before.
My question is, why I don’t see furious noise being made and credible primary alternatives being supported by their constituents?

Vichycons for Haitian Hammer Killers… ?
But wait! There’s more:
While the Salazar-Lawler bill is the worst of it, there are other efforts afoot from the same cabal of anti-MAGA “Republicans.” Rep. Lloyd Smucker (R-Pa.) has reintroduced H.R. 5494, the Essential Workers for Economic Advancement Act. The bill expands visas for up to 500,000 alien laborers in the construction, hospitality, and other sectors and proposes a new H-2C visa program for critical jobs that do not require a college degree but are essential to business operations and U.S. economic growth.
With a name like Smucker, he has to be good (from 2016):
Change my mind on how his supporting a massive influx of foreign nationals will be good for the future of 2A.
Told ya. May she be as successful with this as she was at accomplishing nothing over at 97percent.
And here she is praising a ‘No Kings’ rally. Her journey to the dark side is complete.
Be interesting to see her gun platform when she gets a campaign website up.

Whoever he picks will have to go through the Senate Judiciary Committee, where Sen. Thom Tillis, R-N.C., said in an interview with CNN that the next nominee must align with his views on the Jan. 6, 2021, riots at the U.S. Capitol. “The threshold for somebody following Pam Bondi ends the moment I hear they say one thing that excused the events of January 6,” Tillis said. “I’ve been very clear on that. So I hope whoever they have in mind to follow General Bondi is very clear-eyed about my position on January 6.” [More]
That the Republicans would put this weasel in charge goes to show their continued seeming self-inflicted losses are deliberate.
A candidate worth having would read him the riot act and tell him to go f_ himself.

Republicans snatching defeat from the jaws of victory…
And, of course, when the blow the midterms, the narrative will be it’s because of the MAGA agenda.
As Bill Clinton mentor Carroll Quigley reminds us:
“The argument that the two parties should represent opposed ideals and policies, one, perhaps, of the Right and the other of the Left, is a foolish idea acceptable only to doctrinaire and academic thinkers. Instead, the two parties should be almost identical, so that the American people can ‘throw the rascals out’ at any election without leading to any profound or extensive shifts in policy”
That’s the plan and they’re sticking to it.

You’d think someone who brags about an A+ NRA rating wouldn’t have voted against a “constitutional carry” bill.
Then again, why would an unachievable database of prohibited persons poison pill have been inserted, if not to kill the bill? Is that even a correct interpretation? And since it’s not in the law that eventually passed, what happened?
