Face Value

Are you getting a return on your investment with the NRA? [Watch]

I guess. I became a Life Member back in the 90s and every month they send me their magazine, so I’m sure the initial donation has been paid back. That and I’ve attended several Annual Meetings at no admission cost. But I haven’t sent them a dime in decades now and like many others won’t unless and until heads at the top roll.

  1. I stopped getting a return almost a decade ago. They also stopped getting my dues. They know what to do, but dont seem to care & can only bleed for so long. Too bad so sad I’ll support my state organization before NRA gets anything else from me.

  2. I stopped getting a return when they changed their courses so that new students had to complete the classroom portion online with “national” first for $60, and then do the practical with local instructors who had no opportunity to watch their safety habits in the classroom before going to the firing line. It also destroyed our being able to offer SD courses to victimized groups for free. They lost half their instructors over that change before they admitted stupidity and put things back the way they were, but it was too late, we had moved on.

  3. A bit troubling that Kirk doesn’t seem to understand why people no longer support the NRA.

  4. When something as large as NRA is moving it takes a while after its motive force is removed to coast to a stop.

But coast to a stop it inevitably will.
