Those eastern counties ought to go ahead and secede from Oregon, and appeal to Trump for protection from Salem.
That would be an interesting dilemma, because if he supported that and had DOJ back legal precedent, you can be sure blue states would follow suit, starting with Oregon. It probably works as a check on the Dems, too, if you look at all the red counties in blue states that could form proposed new states. The irreconcilable way things are going, perhaps CW2 is inevitable.
