Y’know, in some ways I’d rather have Kamala Harris. At least with her, you knew where you stood. Yea, she vehemently opposes 2A rights, private gun ownership, and any form of public carry, but you knew that and could expect that of her. As abhorrent as she is, at least she’s consistent.
I for one am getting tired of hearing how the “most pro-Second Amendment administration in history” is frequently (but not consistently) dropping the ball or outright contradicting itself by defending anti-gun laws they claimed to oppose and not supporting pro-gun proposals they said they would. (And not including pro-gun groups or high-profile individuals for their opinions or experience in the “2nd Amendment Task Force” is another strike.) Like BATFE’s “determinations” letters, I can learn what they say now, but it’s impossible to predict what it will be tomorrow or the next day.
It’s the uncertainty that’s getting to me.
It’s the age old question about whether you’d rather be stabbed in the chest by a known enemy or stabbed in the back by a supposed friend.

GOA’s STILL blaming the Senate parliamentarian for the HPA debacle? They can’t bring themselves to blame Thune, the man who has the authority to hire/fire and listen/not listen to the parliamentarians advice? If the national groups want my support they have to stop lying to me.
And if Trump/Bondi were opposed to NFA, and the milquetoast Congress won’t repeal it, Trump/Bondi could just stop enforcing it.
It’d be interesting to know if GOA, etc, are actually talking to Trump or anyone in his Admin, since they don’t care about the 2A Task Farce. Is anyone talking to anyone?

Looks like DOJ asked for and received an extension on their Nov. 13 deadline to file. A either a simple “Yes” or “No” would tell us something. Their need to think about it and come up with a position tells us something as well.
Kinda reminds me of the old Jack Benny gag where he doesn’t respond to a robber’s demand “Your money or your life!” The robber repeats the demand and Benny responds, “I’m thinking it over!”
IOW, our supposedly pro-RKBA administration that “talks the talk” about our “big beautiful Second Amendment” actually has some deep seated conflicts where RKBA is concerned.
Imagine if your spouse was offered an “Indecent Proposal” and paused to think it over.
