I am willing to risk the giving up of my Rights and Privileges as a Citizen for our Great Military and Country! [More]
I’m not. Especially when Article I, Section 8, Clause 11 has been ignored. That other presidents have also done that is not so much a compelling argument as it is evidence of how far the Republic has strayed.
Today seemed an appropriate day to post this, and note the president said it on the day filings were due under penalty of imprisonment on a tax the Founders would have declared unconstitutional and rebelled against.
Seems they had some concerns about foreign entanglements and standing armies, too…
And the “solution,” we’re being told, is to ignore this:
Guard with jealous attention the public liberty. Suspect everyone who approaches that jewel. Unfortunately, nothing will preserve it but downright force. Whenever you give up that force, you are inevitably ruined.
I wonder if we’ll get another statement this year. And another post…

I am definitely NOT willing to give my RIGHTS as a citizen of this country.
Dang it, hit return too soon.
I AM NOT a citizen of any military.
Samuel Whittmore is my hero these days.
When we deal with agents and entities of our government we find how few “freedoms” we enjoy.
IMO our President has just tossed the last card on the table and is about to sweep up the pot with a smile.
But some jackass from NC lays out a bill to grant present and former spec ops guys carte blanche for nationwide ccw. It won’t pass but is just another poke in we the sheeple’s faces.
We’ll prove ourselves no better than the allegedly freedom seeking Iranians who have not lifted a finger to toss the mullahs in 50 years.
Another tequila Miss Sheila, por favor.
Along the lines of “Would you send your prized deer rifle to help defend a British home?”, this time of year I reflect on “If Parker & Co. knew how it all turned out, if they could see the Massachusetts of today, would they have bothered?
Now I’m off to continue my re-reading of “William Diamond’s Drum.”
