It isn’t about safety, or about preventing violence, political or otherwise. if it was, they would have implemented steps that actually move us in that direction, and done so long ago.
Nope! And it won’t be about safety, or violence prevention, until or unless some folks have a serious “come to Jesus” or “road to Damascus” moment (pick your metaphor of choice).
In the back of my mind there’s the thought that the start of a “grass roots” 4G warfare run by and for a gaggle of “lone wolves” much like some have described would look something like this, at least in the very beginning.
