Embedded in that sentence is an attempt at redefinition of the word “normal”, which heretofore was a mathematical concept.
Given that they’ve redefined so many terms to suit their needs, or at least attempted to do so, we shouldn’t be surprised to see attempts to redefine “normal.”
Orwell predicted this sort of morphing of the language to suit and support political ends in “1984.”
