“I know very staunch Second Amendment advocates who totally agree with Red Flag laws.” [More]
Name one and I’ll expose them as a gunkapo fraud.
Who’s that doing the talking? What a moron.

Paul Mauro, former NYC cop — spouting NYC cop nonsense.
Sad, but typical. He’s a member of “the only ones”.
“I know very staunch Second Amendment advocates who totally agree with Red Flag laws.”
I’m sure he does. And I’m sure none of them see the crossover between “Second Amendment advocacy” and “Constitution advocacy”.
They’re all happy to treat the Bill of Rights like a Chinese buffet: take the bits you want, leave the bits you don’t.
And if “Lamprey Wrangler” above is correct and the guy is a former NYC cop, I’d not be surprised if the following two statements are both true:
1. He believes in the Second Amendment as it applies to the militia, which includes the police force — but not you or I.
2. He believes “Red Flag laws” are okay because he doesn’t believe in the Fourth or Fifth Amendments, seeing as they make his former profession harder.
His name is right there at the bottom of the clip. LW is perfectly correct.
Lots of those “staunch” Second Amendment advocates from the north east. Including the current resident at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Sometimes I think they must have a different Second Amendment up there.
The surprising thing is that New York, of all places, is the one that almost nixed the whole Constitution because the Federalists were opposed to adding something resembling Virginia’s Declaration of Rights, but at the proposed federal level. However, the Anti-Federalists in New York dug in and insisted on a set of amendments that we now call the Bill of Rights.
What a difference 250 years makes.
Apparently this retired NYPD “inspector” failed to inspect the Second Amendment.
