I get the feeling that Gutkowski is one of those “toxic empathy” victims who can be convinced to say whatever you want if you threaten to call him a rayciss if he doesn’t.
I tried digging into the ethnicity of pre-Roman Britain as they transitioned from hunter-gatherers to farmers, but the answer is complex. Some call them Celtic because of cultural artifacts such as hill forts, tribal structure and their similar language groups (Irish Gaelic, Scottish Gaelic, Welsh Gaelic, Cornish Gaelic), but that would be an oversimplification. The same could be said of their hair color – red in the north, dark in the southwest and blonde in the southeast.
The Romans (a conglomeration of several peoples conquered and unified under the culture of Rome) invaded and displaced.
The Angles, Saxons and Jutes invaded and displaced.
The Vikings (Norway, Sweden, Denmark) invaded and displaced.
The Normans (descended from Vikings who had invaded and displaced in Gaul) invaded and displaced.
Protestant Huguenots migrated from France and Holland.
Irish migrated because of the Potato Famine. Some of these Irish are descended from Vikings who… well, you know the drill.
WWII and the collapse of the Empire following WWII caused other waves of migration from the Caribbean islands, Africa and Asia.
So, who are the true Britains?
