Meanwhile, Over at the Department of Pre-Crime…

“It scrapes the internet 24/7 using an Israeli grade ontology to pull specific threat language and then routes it to local law enforcement. It’s a 24/7 detective that never sleeps and it’s going to get us in front of these attacks.” [More]

And we already know who the algorithm considers to be the greatest threat.

So, where do they keep the precogs in the photon milk bath?

We all know the lesson of the Palantir, right?

And who’s beholden to Peter Thiel…?

  1. So much for “small government” Republicans and conservatives.
This isn’t the “America 1st” I voted for.

  2. Let us know when they find a workaround for the Garbage In => Garbage Out rule.

Between that and certain folk’s predisposition for deciding the results then working back to cull the data until it supports their conclusion, I’ll remain skeptical.

  3. And what is the line we hear after almost every one of these shooting?
    “They were on our radar.”
“Knowing” about them was never the problem. Actually stopping them when some higher government agency is creating them for a narrative is the problem.
Sez so right on the pill bottle.
Palantir has probably been in use for 15 years for all we know.

  4. “The platform is marketed as using “Israeli-grade ontology”
“ontology: noun — 1. the branch of metaphysics dealing with the nature of being.”

Hundreds of liberal philosophy professors pull at their long hair, screaming,
    “What have we done?!”
