“Congress Demands Answers From ATF Over Backdoor Gun Registry”
Fathers of teenage sons don’t get quite as engaged with a certain principle as fathers of teenage daughters do. That principle is that you don’t ask certain questions unless you’re prepared for the answer either way and if necessary to do something about it.
A similar principle is involved here. Congress knows exactly what BATFE has been up to. But they don’t know officially because they don’t want to have to acknowledge the problem. If they did there would be demands that they do something about it.
And you’ll find damn few in Congress on either side of the aisle that are ready, willing, and able to take BATFE out to the woodshed and give them a dose of what Rhett Butler wished he could give Scarlett.
