For whatever ghost in the machine reason I’ve found the blog has been relegating perfectly legitimate comments to the Trash folder over the last week or so. I just went into the system and approved almost a dozen (including two of mine!) and am hopefully caught up.
Understand I get to these when I can but it’s rare to see more than a few hours elapse unless you post in the middle of the night. If yours still does not appear after a day, please email me. In the meantime I’ll now make it a regular practice to check the Trash and approve anything that doesn’t belong there.
So that’s what happened. I left a comment on a post, and it showed it was there awaiting moderation. Then when I refreshed, it was gone. I figured at the worst it got flagged as spam.
I did a couple searches and there was nothing current for WP or Akismet trashing comments. You could check the Discussion settings to see if something there is set to delete comments it thinks are spam.
Which post and how long ago? Because I recall approving one of yours from Trash.
It was on the post about the guy who killed his family.
There’s a comment of yours there. Perhaps hit refresh and let me know if you see it?
