  1. Interesting that they bring this up in the aftermath of the Lewiston, Maine, shooting.

    That guy was reportedly committed to a mental hospital for two weeks. Would that not make him a “prohibited person”?

    And if Maine had had a “Red Flag”/ERPO law, somebody has to make that complaint, and I’ve seen no indication he had anyone in his life that could or would.

    IOW, a lot of noise about more “gun control” laws that would have done nothing to stop the tragedy that started the conversation. As usual.

    1. Maine does have a red flag law, but only doctors and cops can invoke it, not relatives. They didn’t.
