    In that vein, I think some of the folks associated with this post’s story need to look up the word “rigger”.

    The main halyard on my 30 ft Catalina sailboat was showing signs of sun rot. So i got on the web and hired a “rigger” to replace all of my standing “rigging.”

    Most of us have seen large cranes working on a construction site. Next time you see one, take a look at the sling that connects the weighted hook on the end of the crane cable to the load being lifted. The guy in charge of handling that sling is called (wait for it) a “rigger.”

    If anyone was offended by the repeated use of the word “rigger” in this comment, they need a kind of help that I’m just not qualified to give. Maybe Red Forman can help.
