This is, of course, the way things oughta be.
That he used Facebook and anti-gun payment processors makes me want to see the guy acquitted even more.

New Jersey Attorney General Platkin (D) filed a complaint against SIG SAUER, making numerous false and unsubstantiated claims about the P320. This false information requires immediate clarification and remedy. [More]
New Jersey Democrats don’t care about safe guns– they just want to destroy the company.
Sig is riding the tiger, holding on for dear life, knowing what will happen if they’re thrown.
Don’t look for Garden State “Only Ones” suppliers Glock, Benelli, and Colt to act like their turn in the barrel might be next. And just what the hell is an “enhanced patrol rifle,” and how does that differ from a “weapon of war designed to quickly kill as many people as possible”?

A federal judge has given the City of Chicago until this week to explain how many Chicago police officers are still carrying a controversial handgun that’s been tied to dozens of lawsuits across the country associated with claims that it misfires without a trigger pull. [More]
This is a design engineering issue that should be resolvable with objective standardized testing. Dragging things out in court only delays the inevitable, it either is or is not defective and is or is not protected by PLCAA.
If it is, the company needs to be vindicated. If it’s not, the circling wolves will rip it apart and end it.

A US airman has been charged with obstruction of justice and involuntary manslaughter in connection with a fatal firearm discharge at an Air Force base in July, which resulted in the death of a 21-year-old service member…As a result of the incident, Air Force Global Strike Command ordered a pause of using the M18 handgun — manufactured by Sig Sauer — until further notice. I’m recalling all the times over the years “the gun went off” has been offered as an excuse that just never held up under scrutiny.

Sig Sauer’s controversial 6.8x51mm XM7 service rifle has now received a formal standard type classification, with the official designation changing to M7. This is a vote of confidence for the weapon weeks after an Army captain publicly criticized the rifle as potentially unsafe, ineffective, and overly expensive, claims that the service and Sig Sauer subsequently vehemently rebutted. I did policies and procedures for a defense contractor and worked plenty of proposals, and there are always audit trails to follow. What’s not known is if any side understandings with decisison makers were reached. Still, there are always threads to pull.

This has been going on long enough— and continuing — to raise legit doubts. Is there a design flaw or are negligent dischargers jumping on the blame Sig bandwagon?

So unlected, embedded, probable Democrat bureaucrats get to impose an expensive “F*** you” over a non-existent problem, unless you’re in the habit of leaving your guns so equipped in reach of toddlers…
You gotta wonder if they invented this on their own or if the antis have figured out how they can snitch and stick it to gun companies with rulefare.
What was that about teddy bears again…?
I’m wondering if a FOIA request might shed some light, and who would be the best person/entity to file one… I’m also wondering if this type of destructive overreach is something the new administraiton can address.

I’m not a hardware guy– I do rights. I don’t know enough about it to know if this is just a ploy to put on public pressure or if there really is a design/manufacturing flaw. Like I said back when, if the allegations are true, then it’s not protected. Which is as it should be.
The Plaintiffs in this action are a group of highly trained and experienced firearms users whose lives were upended by a dangerously defective pistol: the Sig Sauer P320. [More]
If true, PLCAA will not apply — something the antis don’t want people to know.
And if successful, the confiscators may need to look elsewhere…
