Anybody ever get around to defining how long “temporary” is…?
And what reason could Democrats have for wanting this?

When I was at University of Florida I spent my first two years living in Simpson Hall in Graham Area. Just outside my window was married student housing. They were wood framed two story duplexes (maybe fourplexes? These days all of my memories are vague.). This was around 1968. The relevance is that those buildings were “temporary” housing from WWII relocated from an army base.

But in this case, we’re often talking about people who have been “refugees” for twenty or thirty years, long enough to get a job, turn it into a career, and retire with a full pension, but somehow never got around to “naturalizing” their status. My wife worked with a ton of them at Miami-Dade County government.
Now they’re in a panic and want sympathy?
