“December 07, 2022 (Wednesday) will be the last day to purchase ANY firearm without a valid Oregon Firearm Purchase Permit.” [More]
The useful idiot dilettante billionaires bankrolling this abomination don’t care whose livelihoods are destroyed or whose rights are usurped as long as this wins them “progressive” accolades for being enlightened and benevolent. It’s not like they have to worry about what “those people” want.
The herd rushing to buy ahead of what is effectively a ban probably couldn not have been bothered to show at the polls.
I hope everybody is watching….. This will be educational.
If you look at the “heat map” of the vote on this thing, you’ll notice that it was passed ENTIRELY on the votes in Oregon’s population centers. Geographically almost the ENTIRE STATE voted against this!
This what California looks like… with rain…
I would lay high stakes at long odds you would be very much mistaken on that score.
When a permit or license is required to exercise a Constitutional RIGHT, that “right” becomes a revocable PRIVILEGE.

December seventh… a day that will live in infamy.
Depends on what the meaning of “gun safety” is.
” ‘Don’t you see that the whole aim of Newspeak is to narrow the range of thought? In the end we shall make thoughtcrime literally impossible, because there will be no words in which to express it. Every concept that can ever be needed will be expressed by exactly one word, with its meaning rigidly defined and all its subsidiary meanings rubbed out and forgotten. Already, in the Eleventh Edition, we’re not far from that point. But the process will still be continuing long after you and I are dead. Every year fewer and fewer words, and the range of consciousness always a little smaller. Even now, there’s no reason or excuse for committing thoughtcrime. It’s merely a question of self-discipline, reality-control. The Revolution will be complete when the language is perfect. Newspeak is Ingsoc and Ingsoc is Newspeak,’ he added with a sort of mystical satisfaction.” ‘ — George Orwell, 1984
