Women should NEVER be street officers. They simply lack the size and strength to do the job. When faced with meaningful resistance they will either lose the fight or be forced to resort to deadly force. ALL beat/patrol officers should be large and physically imposing…of a size suitable to play football. There are many male officers who are too small to be effective street officers. There are reasons to have physical standards for both law enforcement and the military.
True enough Dan. As a younger man I passed the tests for several departments but came up short (pun intended) in physical stature. Different worlds…some observe I was old before dinosaurs were thought of.
