It feels like there’s more to this story, and the question of a retention holder seems like one corporate risk management should want to look into. I’m sure homicide is looking over the security footage to see how it all went down.

I suspect the security guard was in less than perfect physical condition and the assailant was relatively young and fit. If you look at the average cop they are overweight and less than healthy…especially as they get older. Most criminals, especially inner city gangsters are young and fit. The older ones are often incarcerated…where they have access to and time for exercise. The result is usually a one on one mismatch when things get physical. The guard was fortunate. Often the results are not so lucky.
