We already saw this gambit in DC right after Heller: “DC’s law is unconstitutional, but negating it immediately would cause chaos, hence DC gets to keep it in place until they can figure out an alternative.” And there was no pushback to that, so let’s just keep doing it every time the Supreme Court strikes down a law.
