A Silver Lining

Unreleased transcripts from Uvalde show police waited to breach the classroom because the killer had a combat rifle that could penetrate their armor. They we too scared. We are a nation that allows anyone to buy a rifle that can massacre children while keeping the police at bay. [More]

  1. ALL the discussinnwas around the body armor/plates the cops did/didn’t have and the supposed ability for the lowly 5.56 round to penetrate/not that armour.

I have two “what ifs” that would have made all the body armour in the UitedStates moot:

ONE.. as I remember the account of that day, an armed SRO was OUTSIDE the buildongs when he was the perp walking across the schoolgrounds carrying his RIFLE (not spozed ta have wunna dem on a school’s land, FGFSZA sez…) and.. DID NOTHING. Watched him open an outside door and walk right in. Did

second item: WHAT IF a programme like Ohio’s FASTER Saves Lives had been in ppace at that school. There were TWO teachers in the classroom the perp entered. If one, or better, both, of those tachers had been armed and trained as with FASTER, one or both WOULD have drawn and fired BEFORE any coppers could have started their sich discussion as to whther they could breach the classroom and take out the perp. The perp walked INTO that classroom, too bad he did not walk in to the ambush certain to have been carried out by one/both of those teachers. BOOM BOOM party over. Get the kids ALL out safely, call the meathack, and send everyone home for te day while they hose out the place and take their twenty seven eight by ten colour glossy photographs with the circles and arroes and a paragraph on the back of wach one exlpaining what each one was.
And MAYBE the local fishwrap might have a column or two about the mass execution of our beloved school children that never was.

And NO ONE has ever explained to me two thngs: How could this marginally employed high school age kid have gotten the finds to buy two things: His $7000 Daniel Defense rifle, (when a five hundred dollar Ruger AR would have served just as well but not look nearly as cool when found next to the dead punk) and Thing Two: I’ve heard the kid was driving a fancy very late model big pickup truck, market value somewhere north of $60K. WHO paid for that toy? Not him on his bugrger flippping salary.
