For the love of God, stop fantasizing about a war between US citizens and their military [More]
I agree. Stop fantasizing.
Ensure the deterrent to prevent it from happening is credible:
“[A]rms like laws discourage and keep the invader and the plunderer in awe…”
[H/T Herschel]
“Put aside the question…”
… of what portion of the US military would continue to follow orders from their superiors.
… of what portion of the US military would actively support the resistance.
… of what portion of the US military would just say, “This is not what I signed up for.” and quietly fade away.
Or maybe we should all be asking ourselves those question while rational answers that could lead us to avoid any of those scenarios might still be found.
If only Mike had finished and published “Absolved!”
