At least one person has been hospitalized and several other victims are being assessed after a Naval Academy student accidentally shot someone, causing the Maryland campus to go into lockdown. [More]
My brain must not be working this morning because I can’t follow this story at all.

From other stories I’ve seen…
1. Expelled student made threat.
2. Someone on staff issued a warning that expelled student was on campus disguised as a cop.
3. As the actual cops were securing the campus, a cadet saw one, assumed it was the expelled-student/shooter, and attacked the officer with a inert drill rifle.
4. Cop shot cadet in self defense.
5. Academy staffed claimed the part about the threat being on-campus dressed as a cop was “misinformation.”
6. Apparently during all this, the expelled cadet was at home nowhere near the Academy.
Thank you.
All the linked story did was activate my ADD.
“The New York Times reported that an email was sent out to students with a warning at 5:32pm: ‘Get inside and lock your door right now. Not a drill. Get inside and lock your door.'”
Idiots.
If you need people to receive and act on something immediately, you don’t use emails.
