As the NRA fades, a more zealous US pro-gun group rises as a lobbying power [More]

Well, that’s what happens when you keep pushing.

Look now for the violence monopolists to try and destroy GOA leaders.

They’re probably too stupid to realize that will just motivate even more zealous gun owners.

  1. GOA? Really?

The anti-gun crowd has NRA derangement syndrome.

The NRA hasn’t done squat to restore gun rights in living memory.

    Emerson? Nope!

    Heller? Nope!

    McDonald? Nope!

Bruen? Well, sorta maybe. NYSRPA , NRA’s state affiliate actually did the work.

But in a world where even a blind pig finds an acorn from time to time, the anti-gun pig still needs to keep looking.

W.C. Fields advised us to “never smarten up a chump.” So let’s keep the name of the group that’s really kicking their a$$ to ourselves. They might never figure it out without our help.

  2. The NRA tried appeasement and “finding common ground”. It was the government’s greatest ally in the gun rights movement, always willing to surrender something to keep something else and never pushing to get anything back.

And they got relentlessly attacked for it.

It’s basic psychology: when you punish a behavior, you’re less likely to see that behavior repeated, and when you reward a behavior, you’re more likely to see that behavior repeated.

The government and anti-gun groups attacked (punished) the NRA for negotiating and appeasing. Meanwhile, “no compromise” groups like GOA and SAF are getting positive results (rewards) by NOT appeasing or preemptively surrendering, and creative and powerful litigation.

Therefore, the rise of “no compromise” gun rights groups is a monster of the anti-gun Left’s own making. They could have worked with the NRA and slowly chipped away at the Second Amendment. Instead, they’re tearing the NRA apart through media attacks and litigation, and its replacements are far more adamant about “sticking to their guns”; if we’re going to be attacked anyway, there’s no reason to work with the anti-gun Left on anything.
