I saw the whole skit, and in my opinion, the intent of the skit was to portray the “GUNS” guy as a redneck hillbilly who is never seen again because he was soon shot. Meaning that guns are bad and we should not have anything to do with them. The SNL writers knew exactly what they were trying to get across, and the fact that others in the firearms community think SNL is supporting them, is, in my opinion, totally wrong. I may be wrong, but I suggest that everyone watch the WHOLE thing.
Thanks for clarifying. I haven’t watched SNL since Belushi was on. And you’re right– I see all kinds of memes used by conservatives with Sam Elliot and the guy’s a Hollywood lib.
David, if you can find the time, go to Youtube and search “SNL guns amendment” and it should pop right up. The site you linked leaves off the last 30 seconds or so, and those seconds really tie the intent together.

Nah, I’ll pass. I don’t care what SNL thinks abut anything, and I already know what they think about guns. And if you think that’s prejudice… prove I’m wrong and change my mind.
