“We can put a man on the moon … but we can’t have the technology to keep killing machines out of schools,” Bender said. “Or out of uncertified hands,” Cameron added matter-of-factly. [More]

Of course, nothing comforts children like their adult protectors telling them,
“Don’t worry — you’re safe, I’ll handle this.”“It’s up to you kids to throw sharp junk at a gun with a gun, I’m totally out of my depth.”(“GUY with a gun…”)

Doesn’t look like NASA is in any hurry to get anyone back up there either.
If/when they do they’re going to have to contact SpaceX Approach Control for clearance.
I’d far rather NASA not waste MY tax dollars. they did it once, it can b done, if anyone else wants to do it let them spend THEIR money not mine. Don’t get me wrng, I’m glad we did it the first time. My Dad was one of the key players in that endeavour so I followed it closely. His work fed our lrge family (by any of today’s standards).
Actually we HAVE several technologies that would work in the vast najority of would-be incidents. But THEY refuse to use any or them. For the most part.
One very successful technology is in place in a few states in a volntary basis, and for the most part at NO burden to the taxpayers. In every school district where this tecn=hnology has been implemented there have been precisely ZERO incidents of any kind involving a firearm. Perfect track record, no cost to the taxpayers. Wha’s not to like about that?
That’s just ONE bit of technology that is proven VERY successful. There are others which the gn grabbers refuse to implement. They prefer to whinge and moan about how DAYNJRUS all them bangsticks are “out there” an we GODDA DOOOO sumpin, QUICK. Liars……
