Our Hotline Representatives are Standing By

Assembly Bill 1967 is moving through the California Legislature with barely a ripple of public attention. The bill, authored by LGBTQ rights activist-turned-Assemblymember Rick Zbur, would allow children of any age to initiate state dependency proceedings against their own parents. The parents will not even know this has happened until the die is already cast. [More]

Which is when they’ll find out who put the kids up to it.

Oh, look: Typical Rick voters!

Anybody else creeped out?

And yes, of course he wants your guns.

Keep voting Democrat, Californians.

  2. In one of the links, Rick Zbur claims that he is wearing orange to honor the victims of the Pulse Nightclub on the fifth anniversary of the mass shooting. On June 12, 2016 a lone person with a rifle killed 49 and wounded 58. I noted at the time that given the number of people present, the number who possibly had Florida Concealed Weapons Permits and a fudge factor of those that do and do not routinely carry a firearm, that at least 8 could have returned fire, reducing the number of casualties. Problem is that Florida prohibits the carrying of firearms by non-police officers in places that serve alcohol. Compliance with the law by the law-abiding condemned 107 people to death or injury. This law with the long list of prohibited places must change.
Two laws that have changed in the last decade are that Florida no longer requires a permit to carry a concealed firearm and that Florida now allows the open carry of firearms. It is estimated that now more people carry firearms where allowed in Florida. This is good, but despite laws prohibiting murder and armed assault, another mass shooting such as occurred at the Pulse Nightclub can still happen because most, but not all, people comply with laws. Rendering the compliant defenseless is cruel. To do so in the cause of “reducing gun violence” is mental masturbation.
