Maine AR-15 Class Canceled Because a Handful of Fudds and Prohibitionists Squawked

A handful of antis and Fudds repeating tired old lies was enough to get the Department to cave. As for their excuse that it was too soon after the Lewistown shooting, the question not being asked is what does a known nutjob going ballistic after being left alone by fearful authorities have to do with peaceable citizens and their lawfully owned rifles– and will the time ever come when prohibitionists don’t object to such training? If the maniac rammed his car into a group of people, would Maine cancel drivers ed classes? [More]

Ceding to prejudice, ignorance, and fear is no way to run a department.

Cancellation of Maine ‘AR’ Safety Class Opens Questions as to Motives and Legality

That leaves a potential conflict, as duly enacted existing law, which mandates “The commissioner shall establish a program for training individuals in the safe handling of firearms,” does not add a proviso saying “except for firearms that Democrats don’t like.” And the truth about that is all of them, as the Fudds will find out when they’re no longer needed. Who knew “commonsense gun safety” meant no training? My Freedom of Access Act Request attempts to find out who’d behind that bit of idiocy.

I Fail to See the Humor

Lololol! [Watch]

Not really, as you can see the video stunt actually scared people not in on it, who would have been justified in reacting with a driver to the face followed by a beatdown to make sure the danger was neutralized.

Try that with somebody carrying concealed and it might not get that far. Especially if we’re talking off-duty “Only One.”

I’d like to know if the range authorized it and what their insurance carrier would have to say about that.

Who Was That Masked Man?

Armie Hammer is reportedly “totally broke” following the sexual assault and cannibalism fantasy controversy he faced in 2021. [More]

He was the last Lone Ranger. The guy before him apparently liked to get drunk and slap waitresses.

I’ll stick with traditional culture and values, thank you very much:

So not only were children given development-appropriate introductions to guns by adult figures instead of being immersed in hysterical fear and avoidance, they were given training and “commonsense gun safety” lessons…

It’s also back when cereals promoted wholesome activities (even if some of us were prone to being abusive).

As an aside, my brief encounter with the man behind the mask was enough to impress me for a lifetime.
