Unequal Protection

Let that sink in: a slap-on-the-wrist fine and a short-term compliance program for one of America’s biggest gunmakers, which at the time was the leading source of crime guns in nine Northeastern states. [More]

So there’s inequity in policies and rulings relied on in enforcement and determination actions? Who knew?

And aside from the loaded term “crime guns” playing right into the hands of the antis, if the author can document a direct connection between Smith & Wesson recordkeeping failures and a victimization, let’s see it. I suspect if one could be made, we’d have found out the limits of PLCAA by now and deep pockets would have already been plucked.

I don’t need this to hate on S&W.

Of course, they weren’t the only sellout whores.

      1. It’s only on 3 models though. Not all their revolvers. Taurus still has Hillary Holes on all their revolvers and many of their semi autos.

  1. This goes to show, corporations don’t care about people, regardless of industry. Never have and never will. And the bigger they are, the more they can get away with.

  2. I was referring to the S&W ATF violations and leading to a slap on the wrist. Plus all the companies who caved to Clinton. Not the Mexican gov argument.

  3. I do not, nor will I ever, have a single S&W trademark in my house.

At least in Florida, and maybe other states as well, before selling any real estate one must disclose if that property ever had any underground petroleum storage tank(s). The tank(s) may or may not have leaked into the groundwater. Any leaks may or may not have been remediated. The tank(s) may or may not have been removed. Doesn’t matter, you must disclose if said tank(s) had ever been there. The past presence of the tank(s) leaves a taint upon the property. If you buy the property you buy the taint and transfer the taint to the new owners upon sale.

I’m well aware that S&W is no longer owned by the same people who climbed into bed with the Clinton Administration.

Doesn’t matter. Buy the trademark, buy the taint.
