In the sense that Limbaugh pointed out when he suggested the politics is show biz for the less attractive, yes the senator is a clown, or as they used to call them, a jester or foole, prancing and japing in an effort to amuse his audience.
But let’s not forget or excuse the antics of the other clowns, the one who put him in office and encourage his foolish behavior.
Without those enabling fools, the senator would have to find honest work, and society in general would be a better place, for him, his entourage of fools, and the rest of us.
