Thank goodness no guns were involved!
That Bijnor is a laugh a minute, isn’t it?
We could use more people like that here.

Elon Musk Unveils Prototype of Tesla’s Humanoid Robot Optimus, Says It Will Cost Less Than a Car [More]
I can think of less expensive ways to water my plants. And as for working around machinery, no foreman worth his salt would allow a worker with all those attached cables that could easily get caught in things loose on the factory floor.
I’m also not a big believer in the invincibility of battlefield killbots. I suspect, with all the clamoring, the real money will be in pervbots.
My first impression: I’d like to see a parody video where the thing walks on stage and slaughters Elon and his assistants in front of everybody, and then goes for the crowd.
Tangentially related, doesn’t this just say it all?
Dr. Phil guest claims ‘White supremacy is embedded in everything’ in segment on cultural appropriation [More]
“Cultural appropriation” like hair straightening?
Here’s Lester cautioning us about racial slurs. What the hell does he think calling everyone who’s not a Marxist a “white supremacist” is?
At least those who know him best aren’t fooled. You can’t even graduate with a GPA like that. Figures they’d hire him to teach.
This just means that the public at large had no interest in seeing not only a gay rom com, but one with graphic sex scenes. [More]
You sure can’t tell by the way it’s being …uh… forced down everyone’s throats by globalists, government, academia, the media, and woke corporations…
Maybe it’s just an idea before it’s time. Which is why they’d best get started early on the next crop of recruits…

Who doesn’t love a story with a happy ending?

Patti and Bugsy had lived, loved, and visited hundreds of worlds during their 100 years together. They were I Wons and the genetically engineered married team’s business was discovering new flora and fauna, ancient technology from dead civilizations that generated massive revenues for the Invisible One Thousand Corps’ war against the tyrannical Planetary Alliance. I’ve noted before how I have so little time these days for one of my great loves– reading for pleasure. Science fiction is one of the genres I wish I had more time for, the good stuff, I mean. Longtime readers know I have an affinity for the works of guys like Heinlein, Niven, Pournelle, Lem, Clarke, Asimov, Herbert…
Time was I’d hoped to try my hand at fleshing out a few ideas of my own, but again, it was never a burning priority enough for me to really devote myself to the task, which is what’s required to do it right. So I’m looking forward to making time for this freedom-themed work by colleague James Russell Bailey, who did devote himself.
Now that I’ve bought a Kindle copy I’ll have some bedtime reading– and Sweetie is flying out to visit her sister in a few days so I won’t even need to pull the covers over my head to keep the light from disturbing her.
“I also just wanted to note, thank god the Republican Party is against gun control laws because it would keep guns out of the hands of a person that was disabled and volatile like I am, but you guys are totally against that. So I may actually get to carry out my nefarious goals”… [More]

Judge won’t force disclosure of records on alleged episode with Hunter Biden’s gun – The privacy interests of President Joe Biden’s son trump a blogger’s Freedom of Information Act suit, the federal court rules. [More]
Just because we lost in court doesn’t mean I’m not going to keep banging pots and pans on this.
This situation was not a traditional data leak. No data was stolen by hackers or by any government agency. AMMO, Inc. confirmed that the misappropriation of data had nothing to do with any RifleRemedy2000 or any government operation. AMMO Inc claims no data has been transferred to any government agency. [More]
Well, we were right to wonder. Just the same, I’d feel better if someone explained how they know what the government knows. And there are still those disputing what others are assuring us.
And in any case, any data breach is unacceptable, and there are still too many unanswered questions, including what policies and safeguards are being implemented to protect customers and why they weren’t in place before now.
What a mess.

NASA’s new moon rocket sprang another dangerous fuel leak Saturday, forcing launch controllers to call off their second attempt this week to send a crew capsule into lunar orbit with test dummies. The inaugural flight is now off for weeks, if not months. [More]
So we’re up to the “coincidence” stage…
Speaking of test dummies, there are reasons we don’t already have Kubrick’s space wheel and a moon base…
And speaking of space, the wife and I are supporters of the International Women’s Air & Space Museum — we got involved after she became friends with a member of the Ninety-Nines who had flown transport in WWII (and who passed on a few years back). Friday night at their annual Corks on the Concourse wine-tasting fundraiser I won the “space trivia” contest. Three of us were finalists who answered all five original questions correctly, and then we had to go into sudden death. I was the only one who knew about Wally Funk and the Mercury 13 because we’d heard her speak and bought her book at an earlier event.
I won an instructed first flight, which I gave to Sweetie because that had been a long-unrealized fantasy of hers when life, school, career, and family influenced her priorities.
Remember when I said I had a convergence of circumstances affecting my availability to post here and to correspond?
And then when I said I’d be on limited duty as circumstances allowed?
My first post of the day coming in the afternoon is a pretty good indicator of those limitations. Sorry if you took the time to send me something and I end up not being able to get to it for consideration. That’s likely to continue for a while.
I have an article to publicize and then I’ll get to what I can.

Do we? How? And how many?
I don’t suppose you’d care to quantify that and cite sources?
