Funny… every time I’ve practiced weak hand shooting it hasn’t made me forget Cooper’s Rules. Then again, I’ve never had the professional training to assess a situation dangerous enough to draw a gun on a suspect with that hand, either.

Seven members of the Adams County Sheriff’s Office who raided Joseph Foreman’s home last year are now suing him claiming, among other things, that he invaded their privacy. Four deputies, two sergeants and a detective are claiming Foreman (a.k.a. “Afroman”) took footage of their faces obtained during the raid and used it in music videos and social media posts without their consent… They’re also suing on civil grounds, saying Foreman’s use of their faces (i.e. personas) in the videos and social media posts resulted in their “emotional distress, embarrassment, ridicule, loss of reputation and humiliation.” [More]

Shouts of “he has a gun, he has a gun” are then heard on the video. Also heard is someone shouting that the person with the gun is pointing it at people. The deputy then moves toward a man and orders him to “drop the gun,” while a second deputy appears to struggle with the man’s left hand. The video then shows the unidentified deputy firing several rounds at the nearby man. The wounded man is then seen collapsing by a pickup truck. [More]

I’m not sure what to make of this aside to note that having a gun in your hand and a cop nearby do not generally result in happy endings.
