While prepping for one of Florida’s mandatory hurricane evacuations, my wife decided we couldn’t just leave our guns in an “abandoned” home. So we proceeded to bag them up and lay them by the door ready to load up the truck and bug out. It became clear that we could take the dog, the luggage, or the guns, but not all three.
Due to that eye opening experience and our infrequent trips out of town to our second home, the wife decided we “needed” a gun safe. Somehow she decided the smaller “SnapSafe” Titan was big enough.
Oh, well!
The long guns fit but the handguns have to live on the other side of the garage in their range bags next to a stack of GI ammo cans that hold about 1000 rounds for each firearm.
So about a “safe and a half” of firearms and something like 10,000 rounds of ammo.
The “Miami Herald” would stroke out writing that story.
