It is current Biden administration policy, on an “all in” basis, to at some time in the future, make it impossible for you to possess, own, acquire, buy or make ANY SEMI-AUTOMATIC FIREARM. “The Big Guy” has made that quite clear to anyone who has been paying attention. I know what you’re thinking: Biden is a one and done. But be advised that the GOP is a proven master when it comes to blowing a “sure thing” DJT has already done it once. We may well be looking at another four years of “Creepy Sleepy Joe.”
If you do not currently have the equipment, materials, and skills to make a frame or receiver because they’re easier or cheaper to buy, when will you get started? When its too late to do so legally? The current state of the art will not allow anyone to buy a 3D printer, push a few buttons, and sit back a few minutes until a fully finished usable AR15 lower pops out. If you’re waiting for that day to come, be advised of two things. First, the technology may never reach that point. Second, your Federal Government is not waiting for you to get your ducks in a row.
