Not listing 2A under “Issues” on campaign websites is always a red flag. But doesn’t the “A” rating from NRA make her just another opportunistic and skillful political prevaricator? Who’s got a link to the VCDL grade?
I suppose you could “politely but firmly call,” but I find blasting demonstrable liars in front of witnesses makes more of an impact.

Sturtevant? The guy with the political courage and devotion to principle to conclude that being endorsed by as tepid a group as NRA was just too much for him to be associated with, so he colluded with them to have it taken down? Yeah, that’s a representative I want fighting the fight for me!

It’s always rewarding to find some do more than consume information and move on, and instead figure out creative ways to act on and apply what we talk about here. Perhaps this can be a catalyst for change.

Perhaps. Except it looks like the Loudon County Republicans instead decided to “unsubscribe” him from their email list instead of passing useful information on to Cao’s campaign:

It’d be nice, Mr. Cao, if in addition to the few statements that have been picked up by the media you would talk about guns knowledgeably on your campaign website, where there is but one brief and hard-to-find mention. Add to that ignoring VCDL’s candidate survey, and it’ll take more than a say-nothing poster to ignite a fire in gun owner bellies.
The thing is, even keeping your head down, Virginia Democrats are still attacking you full force on guns, so what do you have to lose by standing up for what they’ll accuse you of regardless? This is your chance to use the bully pulpit to educate and lead, which is presumably what you’re trying to do here.
VA Dems, huh? Those are the same gun-grabbers Rob and Grant’s pal Jorge helps to eviscerate the rights of their customers.

I’m told she returned VCDL’s candidate survey and “rated strongly pro-gun rights,” but their PAC can’t endorse federal candidates. That seems kind of self-limiting.
In any case, Spanberger is the goddam enemy.
