“Until then, extremist judges will continue to tear down the will of the American people.”
Embedded in that simple sentence is a symptom of a deeper problem. One the Governor of California can look at all day and not see it, or at least not admit he sees it.
In the days of my youth, most Americans would agree on most topics. You could see that reflected in the people they sent to congress. Liberal Republicans and Conservative Democrats were not at all uncommon. If V.P. Giggles were to draw one of her beloved Venn Diagrams, you would have two circles that mostly overlapped. We disagreed on some things, but we were mostly one America.
You can’t say that today.
Governor Newsom lives in his America while many of us live in another. Meanwhile, not only is the Governor not doing much to heal the gap between his America and ours, he had people he aligns with politically seem hell bent on driving wedges into the split in an effort to make it wider.
Remember Creepy, Sleepy Joe’s inauguration speech about uniting America. Have you seen him doing any uniting?
