This kind of thing never gets approved without heavy lobbying from the auto insurance industry. Their losses start rapidly increasing with car/deer collisions.
But another good reason to do it is to try to prevent CWD (chronic wasting disease) in the deer herd, which becomes an epidemic when the deer are crowded together in a small area.
It’s a shame that it was limited to “Only Ones”, though. How about having the local citizen chip in help? If they’re terrified of firearms in the hands of hunters, how about allowing special doe-only bow seasons within the city limits? Nah, makes too much sense.
