Not taking sides here, just saying this is out there and needs to be factored into credibility assessments. If true, careful relying on her judgments. If untrue, it would seem a massive libel suit is in order.

I’ve never been one for following personalities anyway, regardless of what they profess. Just like ad hominem attacks, it’s a logical fallacy to go the other way, and disappointment in finding feet of clay can be destructive to more than just the icon outed.

Case in point…the principles of Oath Keepers are still valid and needed regardless of what anyone chooses to believe about its founder.

A Right Delayed

Yesterday, New Mexico gun owners won a huge victory at the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals in the case Ortega v Grisham. The lawsuit was brought on behalf of several New Mexico residents supported by the NRA, Mountain States Legal Foundation and other groups. The plaintiffs attempted to buy a gun on the first day the 7-day firearm waiting period law went into effect last year. While they passed the background check and paid for their firearms, they were not able to take their guns home with them due to the new law. [More]

While I understand why some are inclined to gladly view a tortured, terrified soul as fitting karma, and actual victimization as justice, think it through– those providing compulsory custodial care have an obligation to ensure the safety of their charges. I’d like to see a duty to protect, with real and personal legal consequences for exploitation, negligence, deliberate indifference, and failure. Because it could be you or me in gen pop for getting caught defying a “gun charge” or defending ourselves against a raging, out of control “Only One.”

The fact that inmate endangerment of assault, rape, and murder, is not only an issue, but a universal expectation, tells us much about the corruption and incompetence characteristic of total government control.
