HB 4145 started as another one of the Democrats’ annual attacks on liberty, property, and the Constitution. In its final form, it became a bill that delayed the worst provisions of MZ 114 and bought gun owners more time to avoid arrest and fight this insanity in court. HB  4145 will be heard on the first day of the 2026 session—Monday, Feb 2 at 3 p.m.—in Hearing Room B in the Capitol. This will be a meeting of the House Judiciary Committee… As we noted in the previous post, this bill doubles the time you must wait to receive a “permit” to attempt to purchase a firearm and jacks up all fees.
