Ganging Up

CNN Announces “Guns in America” Beat and Team – Led by CNN Guns and Security Correspondent Josh Campbell, the new unit will feature reporting and analysis from The Reload’s Stephen Gutowski, The Trace’s Jennifer Mascia and The Guardian’s Abené Clayton [More]

So basically three against one is considered a fair fight?

I’ve taken on more

It reminded me of another online fight.

Looking for That Dime’s Worth of Difference

Someone inside the event didn’t like the sign Mr. Rose was holding and had the City of Alachua Police approach Mr. Rose to tell him to leave because it was a private event. [More]

I guess if you don’t have to respect the Second Amendment, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t feel free to ignore the First.

So some tight-@$$ed Vichycon at a DeSantis event, rather than doing the right thing and living up to that fidelity to the Second Amendment he makes such great political hay over, decided instead to channel their inner “progressive” snitch and sic the jackboots on a patriot?

And we’re supposed to just forget about this?

A Gun Sense Candidate

A Democrat Nevada state Senator, Pat Spearman, who is running for North Las Vegas Mayor, is in the spotlight speaking about gun violence. This is because Spearman’s son, whom she adopted, shot her nephew… [More]

And note the passive voice deflection:

It’s with a heavy heart that my family is impacted by gun violence.

Victims all! Sounds like just the person to dictate my family’s gun rules! And yours…

Out-of-Office Response

Just back after spending the entire day in ER due to a family medical emergency. Looks like we’re out of the woods– for now.

I didn’t even get to all the news tips sent over the weekend, let alone on Monday, so if you’re wondering why I didn’t get to or acknowledge yours, that’s why.

Please hold off on correspondence or understand why I’m not responding because I have no idea what tomorrow will bring and have article work I’m behind on that’s going to take whatever priority I’m able to give it.

Talking Turkey

I didn’t approve this comment because I’m pretty clear on my “keep it on topic” rules.  Still, this lunatic troll did provide a moment of entertainment, so why not exploit it?

And no, “Tom.” I’m not letting you back in for the same reason I would physically eject you from my house for being an obnoxious @$$hole. But thanks for the laugh. Now stew.

My guess is that’s fake contact info, too, as the IP address shows Chi-Town via proxy server, so don’t go emailing the Navy looking for the dweeb.

Blast from the Past

On a side note to the last post, the video of my interview has been “disappeared” along with the rest of the terminated YouTube account.  When looking to see if it’s posted anywhere else, I happened across this years-old commie hit piece about the Las Vegas murders that I’d been previously unaware of, which included Alex Jones and me among its targets:

Meanwhile, on the other side of the world, the other far-Right trolls, ISIS, were quick to claim that not only the attack was carried out in it’s name, but that also the shooter had converted is Islam months ago. However, according to both the FBI and other law enforcement, this is simply not the case. In the past, ISIS was also claimed other horrific acts in it’s name, despite there being no connection. Many on the Right however refused to accept this. Writing for the Oath Keepers militia, David Codrea wrote:

News services are scrambling to uncover what happened in last night’s massacre in Las Vegas, to be first in revealing some unknown dimension to a story that has the attention of the world. That’s led to conflicting accounts about the shooter—or in some accounts “shooters, and about motives (ISIS has already claimed responsibility, which the FBI denies) and about practically everything.

The blame and hatred coming from the citizen disarmament camp is palpable. Celebrities are piling on. Politicians and gun-grab zealots are dancing in the blood, which they blame on NRA, on “conservatives,” on whites, and on anyone else the collectivists choose to smear as “Nazis” and “fascists.”

Codrea’s rant ends with stating that the “hard left” (by this he means, the Democratic Party), will soon move to take away guns from American citizens, a common refrain from the militia movement, and a central concept within white nationalist literature, such as The Turner Diaries.

Nothing I wrote was untrue. Yet according to this anonymous “anarchist,” presenting both sides equates with refusing to accept, and citing tactics, smears, and documented citizen disarmament end goals equates with a racist rant.

According to them, a fascist is someone who wants to limit government power. A racist is someone who advocates for the most egalitarian power-sharing arrangement ever conceived.

Consider the source:

It’s Going Down is a digital community center from anarchist, anti-fascist, autonomous anti-capitalist and anti-colonial movements. Our mission is to provide a resilient platform to publicize and promote revolutionary theory and action.

Kurt Hofmann’s adage comes to mind.

I’m with Popeye

Between going out of town over the weekend for an NRA Second Amendment legal seminar in Pittsburgh (where I finally got to meet Stephen Stamboulieh in person), having to pick my wife up this afternoon at the airport, and my wireless mouse suddenly deciding to ignore driver updates and make me troubleshoot for an hour, I am so far behind on all incoming correspondence that I haven’t even gotten to Monday’s inputs yet. I even had to turn down Mark Walters to come on Armed American Radio’s Daily Defense today.

Everything will have to wait until tomorrow because after dinner I have to go help my brother move some heavy furniture.

I hope no one thinks I’m ignoring them. Please hold off on more tips and queries, and let me get caught up? Besides, who the hell else do you know who goes from Popeye to Scarlett in a single post?

Communism in a Nutshell

What happens when the right to parenthood involves someone else’s body? [More]

Mr. Pynchon would like to say something.

What right involves making demands that others must comply with — or else?

It’s one of the reasons I find the term “entitlements”– as it relates to forced wealth redistribution– so offensively unAmerican. And don’t get me started on “The Second Amendment gives us the right…”

A New Hope

We have what we hope will be good news on Ballot Measure 114. In spite of massive spending by the leftists who are promoting the measure, a poll published by the Oregonian shows support from only 51% of Oregon voters. [More]

And if the polls are biased, and they are, the number is lower.

That doesn’t mean it’s time to relax. That means it’s time to fight harder, beginning by spreading the word.

When Seconds Count

“Obviously, he’s a dangerous animal, so we have to be careful especially with our dogs, but we’ve been told by our security that animal control will not come unless [we’re] in immediate danger” … [More]

It sounds more like he’s got the wrong security than anything. Who in security said that and who in animal control told them that? Why isn’t that being made known?

Play this smart and serious and let the right people know they’ll be held publicly accountable, and the underlings would scramble to have a baited trap out before end of shift.

I wonder what the settlers there did about dangerous nuisance animals in days gone by…?

A Solution in Search of a Problem

Elon Musk Unveils Prototype of Tesla’s Humanoid Robot Optimus, Says It Will Cost Less Than a Car [More]

I can think of less expensive ways to water my plants.  And as for working around machinery, no foreman worth his salt would allow a worker with all those attached cables that could easily get caught in things loose on the factory floor.

I’m also not a big believer in the invincibility of battlefield killbots.  I suspect, with all the clamoring, the real money will be in pervbots.

My first impression: I’d like to see a parody video where the thing walks on stage and slaughters Elon and his assistants in front of everybody, and then goes for the crowd.

Tangentially related, doesn’t this just say it all?

A Lestering Sore

Dr. Phil guest claims ‘White supremacy is embedded in everything’ in segment on cultural appropriation  [More]

“Cultural appropriation” like hair straightening?

Here’s Lester cautioning us about racial slurs. What the hell does he think calling everyone who’s not a Marxist a “white supremacist” is?

At least those who know him best aren’t fooled. You can’t even graduate with a GPA like that. Figures they’d hire him to teach.

So Much for Popular Demand

This just means that the public at large had no interest in seeing not only a gay rom com, but one with graphic sex scenes. [More]

You sure can’t tell by the way it’s being …uh… forced down everyone’s throats by globalists, government, academia, the media, and woke corporations…

Maybe it’s just an idea before it’s time. Which is why they’d best get started early on the next crop of recruits…

An Open Book

Patti and Bugsy had lived, loved, and visited hundreds of worlds during their 100 years together. They were I Wons and the genetically engineered married team’s business was discovering new flora and fauna, ancient technology from dead civilizations that generated massive revenues for the Invisible One Thousand Corps’ war against the tyrannical Planetary Alliance. [More]

I’ve noted before how I have so little time these days for one of my great loves– reading for pleasure. Science fiction is one of the genres I wish I had more time for, the good stuff, I mean. Longtime readers know I have an affinity for the works of guys like Heinlein, Niven, Pournelle, Lem, Clarke, Asimov, Herbert

Time was I’d hoped to try my hand at fleshing out a few ideas of my own, but again, it was never a burning priority enough for me to really devote myself to the task, which is what’s required to do it right. So I’m looking forward to making time for this freedom-themed work by colleague James Russell Bailey, who did devote himself.

Now that I’ve bought a Kindle copy I’ll have some bedtime reading– and Sweetie is flying out to visit her sister in a few days so I won’t even need to pull the covers over my head to keep the light from disturbing her.

A ‘Commonsense Gun Law’ Democrat of Convictions

“I also just wanted to note, thank god the Republican Party is against gun control laws because it would keep guns out of the hands of a person that was disabled and volatile like I am, but you guys are totally against that. So I may actually get to carry out my nefarious goals”… [More]

And “convicted on two felony counts,” making him a “prohibited person”!

Ax-wielding madman runs amok in NYC McDonald’s — and nobody was lovin’ it [More]

Should’a seen this coming:

Some Notice is Better Than None

Judge won’t force disclosure of records on alleged episode with Hunter Biden’s gun – The privacy interests of President Joe Biden’s son trump a blogger’s Freedom of Information Act suit, the federal court rules. [More]

Just because we lost in court doesn’t mean I’m not going to keep banging pots and pans on this.

Gunbroker Update

This situation was not a traditional data leak. No data was stolen by hackers or by any government agency. AMMO, Inc. confirmed that the misappropriation of data had nothing to do with any RifleRemedy2000 or any government operation. AMMO Inc claims no data has been transferred to any government agency. [More]

Well, we were right to wonder. Just the same, I’d feel better if someone explained how they know what the government knows. And there are still those disputing what others are assuring us.

And in any case, any data breach is unacceptable, and there are still too many unanswered questions, including what policies and safeguards are being implemented to protect customers and why they weren’t in place before now.

What a mess.
