The bills prohibit anyone convicted of a misdemeanor domestic violence offense from owning a firearm or ammunition for 8 years following the payment of all related fines and completion of incarceration or probation conditions. [More]
But we can otherwise trust him without a custodian because we all know prohibited persons won’t be able to get guns, right?
The other oft-overlooked point: Exaggerated or outright false vengeance charges can be made and people who are overwhelmed can be pressured into a misdemeanor plea to get the threat of more and more severe charges off their backs — especially if they’re of limited means and don’t understand their rights and where they can go for help.
If the GOP doesn’t blow ’24 and the court stays the same, expect SCOTUS to rule IAW Bruen. How much injustice will be done in the meantime, and how many won’t be able to afford to challenge the unlimited tax plunder resources of the state?

I thought in criminal cases the crime was against the state. I mean, charges are generally “People vs…., ” aren’t they, and they already have sworn depositions and police reports for evidence…?

As for Lozano… he says he called 911 but was surprised the police never showed up. “I dialed 911, called the operator, explained to the operator what had just happened… she said ‘OK,’ put me on hold, they transferred me to the non-emergency number, which I was there for almost 45 minutes.” He even called his local LAPD station and left a message. “They have a recording, I left the recording on the machine, explained who I was, what the situation was, and I haven’t heard a call back from anybody. Sheriff John Ledbetter says 38-year-old Isaiah Thomas Hayes is accused of three counts of sexual battery and one count of enticing a child for sexual purposes. The sentiment of gun owners seems to be if it isn’t ‘registered’ the powers that be don’t know about it. Fools errand. As witnessed with Katrina the goons will go door to door and forcibly search all buildings. The citizens of New Orleans went along with this outlandish conduct. Will today’s Americans do the same?
By the time they’re at your door, it’s too late.
Depending on the area, I have a feeling that if this starts in any significant numbers, many confiscators will end up more concerned about what’s coming to their door.
My guess is that potentially one or more of the three perpetrators either brandished a weapon or holding some type of weapon that may have been used as a weapon and the agent felt in danger of his life and or his partner’s in and around the area. [More]
Then why wouldn’t that be their main talking point from the start?
Also, I’d tell Genius here that feds aren’t exempt from the laws where they are, but he’s a perpetual troll, and we know what makes them tick, so it’s best not to reward him with feedback. It is revealing though, that he defends such lethal force against citizens. What a sad life, to have nothing better to do with it.
