A former high-level FBI agent who was involved in the investigation into the Trump campaign’s contacts with Russia during the 2016 election has come under scrutiny by federal prosecutors for his ties with Russia and other foreign governments. [More]

In a letter provided to AmmoLand News from Gun Owners of America (GOA), dated August 31, 2022, Inspector Hugh Bogle of the New York Police Department (NYPD) informed business owners with an active business, limited carry, special carry, or carry business license that their business might now be in a “sensitive area” and were informed to bring their guns to the police station so that the guns can be “safeguarded,” or remove them from the location. [More]
What does registration lead to again…?
But no one’s talking about taking your guns, you paranoids!
What should you do if you used a credit card to make a gun shop purchase and the feds come knocking at your door asking to see your hardware? You should ask to see their search warrant. They won’t have one, in which case you should politely say, “Have a good day” and close and lock your door. Then call your local police and report unwanted knocking on your door by an armed stranger. [More]
As fun as that sounds, I’m not sure I’d follow his advice. In the Delaware case, they came with a state trooper plus they showed badges, and “Only Ones” generally (admittedly not always) back each other up. If I were to do as he suggests, I’d make sure to add that they say they are law enforcement but do not have a warrant. And if I did call, it would probably be to the sheriff.

A former Kansas City, Kansas, police detective who has long been accused of sexually preying on Black women during criminal investigations was indicted Thursday on charges that he sexually abused two women, the FBI said. [More]
The saying (evidently) worked out in this case: He’s never going back. And I’m guessing, based on the general incompetence and corruption throughout the penal system demonstrated by its failure to actually control those under its “control,” that he’ll have plenty of opportunity in the coming years to have (alleged) roles reversed.
That is if he doesn’t eat a gun first, adding to demands to disarm you and me.

About 30 feet away, Officer Ord drew his weapon and, as he yelled, “Put your hands up, put your hands up!”, fired five shots at Mr. Huff. Mr. Huff, who was diving away from the window as Officer Ord opened fire, was shot in rectum and severely injured. Another round entered the room where his daughter lay sleeping. [More]
How’s the old punchline go? Rectum? Damn near killed ‘im!

Starting Wednesday, security guards assigned to four Cuyahoga County courthouses won’t be permitted to carry firearms in those buildings, according to a Tuesday sheriff’s memo … That’s because of a legal opinion recently issued by the county prosecutor’s office on a state statute against carrying firearms in courthouses. Though sheriff’s deputies are exempted under that statute, the county’s lawyers determined that protective service officers like security guards are not. [More]
Maybe we should start a pool for “How soon”…?
And, of course, if you think about it, and those with their reasons will, “it” doesn’t even have to happen inside the courthouse. There’s a gantlet all non-“Only Ones” run as soon as they leave their cars.

Alabama sheriffs and the head of the state’s county commission association are sounding alarms about the financial implications of removing concealed carry permit revenues from their budgets. The cuts could be deep for county sheriffs and could shave off up to 50% or more from an agency’s budget within the next year. [More]
Poor babies! Similar measures wiped out the poll tax collectors industry!
Naturally, hysterical Shannon Watts is tying “shall not be infringed” in with “defund the police.”

Despite the apparent brush with death and video evidence of the encounter, it quickly became clear that the driver’s nightmare would not end after attempting to file a police report… “I called them two, three times. I figured they would want this information because there’s somebody out there and he’s going to hurt somebody.” [More]
See, the oversight was just for thuggery, not for work ethic…

As mourners gathered outside a northern West Virginia funeral home on Aug. 24, two plainclothes officers with a fugitive warrant swooped in from separate vehicles, called Owens’ name and shot him dead, spattering his 18-year-old son’s shirt with blood as horrified loved ones looked. [More]
It’s a testament to authoritarian conditioning how many comment posters with no additional information are desperately speculating about excuses that would justify this.
