In my time as a TPC manager, I once had a direct report who was a Bahamian born, German named, blue eyed, red haired, Son of the Confederacy, former USMC piper. Needless to say, he was an interesting young man. On his lunch hour he used to wander the work area practicing things like “Scotland the Brave” and “Wha’ Saw the 42nd” on his practice chanter. Kinda neat.

I once mentioned his living in Homestead. He made a big point out of saying he didn’t and that he lived in The Redlands.

When I asked the difference he explained that for one thing, the girls in Homestead had “summer teeth.”
“Summer teeth, WTF?”
“Summer there an’ some ain’t!”
Some cops are undoubtedly oath breaking fascists, “an’ some ain’t.”
Too bad for us that telling the difference isn’t as simple as looking for missing teeth.
