Adventures in Baselessness

Carlos Jose Abreu, a 45-year-old national from the Dominican Republic, faces charges of “impersonating a United States citizen when registering to vote and when voting in a federal election,” according to a Department of Justice press release. He also faces a charge for unlawful possession of a firearm. [More]

It Depends Upon What the Meaning of the Term ‘Beats Back’ Is

BREAKING 2A NEWS: TRUMP BEATS BACK MEXICO ON GUN CONTROL [Watch]

How, by “agreeing“?

Sorry, I find the argument interpreting what’s on his mind unpersuasive at substantiating the video title. Show me where Trump actually did what it claims. Show me where he made them an “offer” they couldn’t refuse to compel them dropping their lawsuit.

I’m getting a little tired of “our side” adding positive spin where none is warranted. Because there’s still no action.

And I see the media has resurrected the “70% of Mexican crime guns come from the U.S.” claim.

New lies for old…

Living Proof Here

Wikipedia has designed a protocol that directly and unerringly produces the worst descriptions about conservatives and Republicans by virtually guaranteeing that right-leaning media sources cannot be cited. [More]

That’s Why They’re Called ‘Totalitarians’

Democrat policies, whether about immigration, marriage, gender identity, urban law and order, birth, and economics, are all oriented toward destabilization of the social order. The destabilization requires more authoritarian interventions and thus enlarged government power over the day-to-day interactions and decisions of its citizens. [More]

Poison Ivey

After a violent year marked by multiple mass shootings in Alabama, Republican Gov. Kay Ivey and many lawmakers from both parties are backing a proposed ban on so-called Glock switches and other conversion devices that make semi-automatic weapons fire like machine guns. [More]

In budget address, Gov. Mills takes swipe at gun safety citizen initiative [More]

Before celebrating this as a Road to Damascus conversion, keep in mind her preferred due process violation for disarming citizens relies on “Only Ones” (yellow flag) not family members (red flag). What struck me more than that:

Maine is the only state to have a yellow flag law, which Mills helped draft with help from the pro-gun Sportsmans Alliance of Maine.

We’re the Only Ones Liquor Talking Enough

Boston police detective charged with drunk driving after Brookline crash… McKeown was swearing at the other driver and blaming him for the accident… He initially refused when officers attempted to conduct field sobriety tests and stated “Trooper, do you understand who I am?” [More]

What an @$$hole. Can you imagine being at this oinker’s mercy, especially after he’s had a few?

I’m a firm believer that how a person behaves when drunk does not excuse them, but instead shows what they’re really like with the filters removed.

A Reminder to Our Subjects on Who’s Still in Charge

Subject: ATF FFL ALERT – ATLANTA FD

This is an important message from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. All FFLs should be aware that Machinegun Conversion Devices (MCDs) is a part, or a combination of parts, designed to modify a semi-automatic firearm so it is capable of firing automatically more than one shot by a single function of the trigger. These devices, often called switches, chips, auto sears are considered machineguns under the law. The possession, manufacture, and/or sale of machine gun conversion devices without proper licensing is a federal offense.

Please see the attach flyer which illustrates different Machinegun Conversion Devices (MCDs). These devices are defined as machineguns under the National Firearms Act, even when not installed.

See, right after “shall not be infringed” imagine it saying “except for…”

I’m told “This is NOT about Forced Reset Trigger (FRT); Which are legal.”

For now.

Still no action from President Trump

Speaking of Being Woke…

People in the home reported being woken up by the sound of a gunshot. They found the 4-year-old and a 2-year-old child at the foot of Young’s bed with the weapon. Young, who admitted to keeping the gun under her pillow every night, was the only person in the home who owned a firearm, police said. [More]

And she slept through that? Anybody do a blood test on her?

Tell me this isn’t the best reason ever to force “safe storage laws” on you and me.
